OneLegacy.com was honored to contribute a gift certificate this past weekend for a fundraising raffle held for Sam Shockey. Sam is fighting an aggressive cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Although his condition is serious, Sam has many reasons to fight the disease, including a wife and two young sons ages 7 and 9. (Pictured above, L to R – Zachary, Kimber, Sam and Nathaniel Shockey.)
Sam is presently undergoing chemotherapy and hopes to have a stem cell transplant in the very near future. His siblings are not a match so the Shockey family has been organizing “Be the Match” drives to inspire people to join the marrow donor registry. Joining the registry is quick and easy.
